Gigi Hadid is back to work less than six months after giving birth to her daughter, Khai.

The supermodel mom marked her return to the spotlight by appearing on the March issue of Vogue magazine. To coincide with the drop of her high-fashion photo-spread and first interview about life as a new mom, the 25-year-old filmed a 15 minute video for Vogue’s Beauty Secrets, featuring a step-by-step tutorial of her go-to makeup routine.

While most fans of the series are used to seeing celebs share some of their favourite luxury brands, Hadid’s routine is relatively affordable. As one of the faces of Maybelline, most of her products, including her bronzer, mascara and eyeshadow pallet, can all be found at any drugstore.

“I’ve always gone for drugstore skincare,” Hadid said, referencing one of her favourite cleansers, Cetaphil ($12) , as her go to for days when she’s working. Although she switched to mostly clean beauty products during her pregnancy, Hadid doesn’t believe that a higher price tag necessarily means a better product. “I really just wanted good products – and I don’t always think that you have to pay a lot for that.”

One of the standout products (and priciest of the bunch) from Hadid’s routine is the Ceramidin Cream by Dr. Jart+ ($63), which she revealed she recently switched to to help save her dry skin during the winter. The top-rated moisturizer contains ingredients like bifida ferment lysate, beetroot and hyaluronic acid and boasts more than 51,000 likes from Sephora shoppers who have called it “the holy grail” of creams for your skin.

“I have very sensitive skin [and] many creams irritate my skin,” one shopper wrote. “This cream caused no irritation, was super moisturizing, and has been helping with my dry flaky skin in just a few days.”

This product has put an end to my flaky skin and it only took three days! I use it morning and night and it has changed my skin. Plus, no new breakouts!”

Hadid used the Ceramidin Cream with the Mo+P Very Dry Skin serum by Odacité ($62) and her Lano 101 Ointment Multi Balm (approx $17 CAD) to treat her lips before applying her makeup.
